A thousand purple crocus bulbs have come into a special bloom in Hurst Grange Park, Penwortham.

They were donated last autumn by the Rotary Club of Preston South to the Friends of Hurst Grange Park, and planted in the shape of a purple crocus flower which is Rotary International’s worldwide symbol for the campaign to eradicate polio.
