Conditional discharge

A man who pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly has been

conditionally discharged.

Daniel Christopher Burke, 26, of Mercer Street, Preston, appeared before magistrates in

Preston charged with drunk and disorderly behaviour in Church Street, Preston.

He was also ordered to pay 60 costs after being conditionally discharged for 12 months.

Baseball bat man fined

A Leyland man seen walking in public carrying a baseball bat has been fined.

Dean Alexander Evans, 20, of Bent Lane, Leyland, indicated a guilty plea to the offence to Preston Magistrates' Court.

He was fined 140 and told to pay 60 costs and the 15 victim surcharge.

Drunken driver fined

A motorist found over the drink drive limit has been fined and banned from the road.

Paul Kristen Lunney, 44, of Ash Grove, Preston, was stopped in Cambridge Walk.

He was fined 465 after pleading guilty before Preston Magistrates Court and banned from the road for 20 months, which will be reduced if he completes a Government course.

Drunk and disorderly

A man who admitted being drunk and disorderly has been conditionally discharged.

Glen Stewart Gall, 24, of Bow Lane, Broadgate, Preston, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in Church Street, Preston.

He was conditionally discharged for 12 months and magistrates in Preston also ordered him to pay 60 costs.

Fined 400 on guilty plea

A drink driver has been fined 400.

Dilip Kumar, 59, of Powis Road, Preston, pleaded guilty to the offence and as well as the fine, magistrates in Preston banned him from driving for 12 months, which will be reduced if he completes a Government course, and told him to pay 60 costs and the 15 victim surcharge.

Man stole M&S steaks

A shoplifter has been conditionally discharged.

Andrew Lee Richard Keenan, 33, of Hopwood Street, Preston, entered a guilty plea to stealing two steaks, worth 30, from Marks and Spencer.

He was ordered to pay 25.98 compensation and 25 costs after magistrates in Preston conditionally discharged him for 12 months.

Fined for having drug

A man caught in possession of amphetamine has been fined.

Christopher Mark Bradley, 41, of The Paddock, Fulwood, admitted possession of the class B substance. Magistrates in Preston fined him 65 and told him to pay a 15 victim surcharge.

Windscreen wiper damage

A Preston man who damaged a car's rear windscreen wiper has been fined.

Waseem Younus, 31, of St Paul's Avenue, Preston, pleaded guilty to causing the damage to the Vauxhall car.

Magistrates in the city fined him 90 and he was told to pay 100 compensation. He was also told to pay 50 costs and a 15 victim surcharge.

Attempted theft of petrol

A man who attempted to steal petrol from a car has been given a community order. Sean Gerrard Burke, 20, of Savick Way, Lea, must carry out 100 hours of unpaid work after indicating a guilty plea to trying to steal the petrol. Magistrates in Preston also ordered him to pay 300 compensation and 85 costs.

Driver fined

A speeding motorist has been fined.

Keith Halton, of Waverley Road, Preston, was convicted in his absence of breaking the speed limit in Blackpool Road, Preston.

Magistrates in Preston fined him 260 and told him to pay 85 and the 15 victim surcharge.

He was also hit with three penalty points on his licence.

Assault man faces curfew

A man who assaulted a woman has been given a community sentence and will be electronically monitored.

Damien John Kenny, 44, of Thompson Street, Preston, pleaded guilty.

Magistrates in Preston gave him a 16-week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months, and imposed the order, which means he must observe a curfew between 8pm and 6am until March 1.

Man drove while banned

A disqualified driver caught at the wheel has received a community order.

Michael David Roscoe, 25, of Bairstow Street, Preston, was seen driving a Mercedes car while banned.

He must carry out 100 hours of unpaid work and pay 85 costs.

Jailed for attack

A thug who assaulted a woman has been jailed.

Steven David Thompson, 29, of Greenside, Euxton, Chorley, was convicted by magistrates in Preston.

He was jailed for 20 weeks and given a restraining order banning him from communicating with his victim.

Bound over for breach

A man who admitted breaching the peace has been bound over.

Paul Christopher Harrison, 22, of Mitton Drive, Ribbleton, must now keep the peace for six months, he was told by Preston magistrates.

Order for police assault

A man who assaulted a police officer has been given a community order.

Darren Paul Murrell, 38, of Tennyson Road, Preston, pleaded guilty to the offence before magistrates in the city. He must pay 75 compensation to his victim as well as 100 costs.

Shoplifter's medical haul

A shoplifter has been conditionally discharged.

Imran Pathan, 32, of Deepdale Road, Preston, stole 123.79 of medication from a Home Bargains store, magistrates in Preston heard.

He indicated a guilty plea and was conditionally discharged for 12 months.

He must also pay 45 court costs.

Fined 65 for making threat

A man who used threatening words or behaviour has been fined.

John Paul Hope, 21, of Norwich Place, Preston, pleaded guilty to the offence before magistrates in Preston.

He was fined 65 and also told to pay 50 costs and the 15 victim surcharge.

Breached his court order

A man who breached his community order has been fined.

Scott James Wareing, 18, of Clyde Street, Ashton, Preston, admitted failing to comply with the order.

Magistrates in Preston said the order will continue and fined Wareing 60.
