Woman in court over cyclist road accident

A woman is to face a trial over an accident in which a cyclist was left with two fractured ribs, ligament damage to right knee and bruising to neck.

Theresa Marie Edwards, 55, of Mercer Road, Lostock Hall, near Preston, was driving in a silver Toyota Corolla along Emily Street, Lostock Hall, when an accident happened at the junction with leyland Road.

It is alleged she failed to look properly and give way to a man riding along Leyland Road

Leyland Magistrates heard the accident happened on August 13 last year. She will appear for trial on May 1.
