Three computers and a waste paper bin stolen from school in Chorley

Intruders smashed a window at a school in Chorley taking three computers and a waste paper bin.

It is the second primary school in the area which has been burgled in the space of a week.

Burglars forced their way into St James’ Church of England Primary School in Devonport Way at some point between 6pm on Friday 10 and 6.45am on Monday 13.

A police spokesman said: “Someone has managed to break the lock on the gate and they have got into a courtyard area.

“They smashed a window and gained entry to the school itself.

“Three computers have been taken and a waste paper bin.”

Meanwhile nine laptops were stolen from Coppull Parish Church of England Primary School on Monday 6 at around 8pm.

Two intruders were caught on CCTV forcing their way into a classroom before making off with the laptops stashed in pink bags with ‘teachers are cool’ written on them.
