Police are appealing for information after a robbery that happened yesterday between at 5pm and 6pm on a canal towpath near to the loch gate on Tom Benson Way, Preston.

A group of offenders approached two youths and subjected them to a terrifying ordeal during which they were threatened with weapons and had property stolen from them.

One suspect is described as wearing a dark coloured Armani tracksuit and one was wearing a grey coloured Converse tracksuit.

A spokesman for Preston Police, said: “This was an extremely frightening incident for the victims to have gone through and we would appeal for anyone who may have seen anything suspicious to get in touch with us.

“It may be that people were out walking their dog or perhaps jogging in the area and may have seen something that could assist in identifying the persons responsible.”
