A teenager was threatened with a knife and robbed of his bike in a “vicious” attack in Preston.
The 14-year-old was cycling through a park between Tom Benson Way and Cottam Green on his way home from school at about 3.25 on Thursday, when his path was blocked by three males and one produced a knife.
He was told to get off his bike and was pushed into a bush.
They then demanded his mobile phone which he did not have before the group took his bike, leaving down a small path that leads to the area opposite the Ancient Oak Pub.
The stolen bike is a grey Raleigh Misceo 2.0 with a 22 inch frame.
DC Justin Singleton of Preston CID said: “This is a vicious and nasty attack on a young man who was making his way home from school and so I urge anyone with any information at all to please to come forward.
“We are particularly keen to talk to anyone who was near to the scene at the time of the incident who may have seen the offenders in the vicinity.”
The offenders are all described as white males, aged 17 to 18.
One had a “chubby” build, rounded face, stubble on his top lip, acne scars on his face and was wearing a grey hooded top with a grey and white t-shirt underneath and light grey tracksuit shorts.
Another had “greasy” brown hair with spots covering his nose and underneath his eyes.
He was wearing a blue quilted gilet with a hood and a grey patterned t-shirt and dark grey tracksuit bottoms.
The third was wearing dark clothing.
