A serial purse thief who has struck at least six times in Leyland has been jailed for a total of 36 weeks by a court.
Cheryl Biggar, 31, of Leyland Lane, Leyland, admitted carrying out a string of thefts in June, July and August.
Magistrates previously heard how she stole a purse containing £120 cash and a bank card from Marina Whitfield in June.
On June 22 in Leyland she stole a Purse to the value of £50 belonging to Dawn McCrory.
On July 4 she stole a purse containing £65 cash belonging to Jennifer Crichton.
The court heard she went on to steal £90 cash from a woman on August 8.
On September 19 she stole a purse from another victim, Kelly Gregg-Geldard,
Biggar also admitted using racially aggravated threatening behaviour on August 18.
Sentencing her, the bench said she was unable comply with court orders and some offences were a “breach of trust”.
