Probe into blaze at Preston hotel

An investigation is under way after a blaze at a Preston hotel.

Firefighters attended the Clifton Hotel in Fishergate Hill at around 8.15pm last night.

Four fire engines from Fulwood, Preston and Penwortham attended a fire in the building.

Firefighters used four breathing apparatus, one hose reel and a ventilation unit to extinguish the fire.

The cause is not known but an investigation has begun in conjunction with the police.

Despite initial concern, there were no injuries reported.
