Police have released an image of a man they want to speak to about an assault.

A 28-year-old man was punched in the face and fell to the ground in the smoking area at The Imperial, on Union Street, Chorley, at 1.30am on Saturday, August 9.

As he left the pub, he was punched again in the face by another man, who is believed to have been with the first man.

The victim suffered a broken jaw, which required surgery.

The first man was white, 5ft 9in and slim. He had short light brown hair and wore an electric blue T-shirt.

The second man was white, 5ft 8in and slim. He had short dark brown hair, wore a white T-shirt and light blue jeans, and had a sleeve of tattoos on his left arm.

PC Lee Tickle of Chorley police, said: “This was an unprovoked attack which initially started in the smoking area and continued at the front of the pub around closing time.

“We are keen to speak to the man pictured and I would urge him or anyone who may recognise him to come forward.”
