A man was left with serious injuries to his leg and pelvis after being struck by a car.

The 24-year-old is recovering in the Royal Preston Hospital following a collision at around 10.05pm on September 27 on Scotland Road in Carnforth.

He was hit by a silver Ford Mondeo, which was travelling towards Lancaster from Carnforth.

Sgt Dave Hogarth from said, “I am keen to hear from anyone who may have been in the area at the time and may have witnessed what happened to contact police.”

Officers are also are appealing for information about a second insident in which a car was damaged by a passing motorcyclist who failed to stop at the scene.

The collision happened at around 12.25pm on Sunday September 29 when the victim was driving her light blue Skoda Octavia along Quernmore Road in Lancaster, heading towards Caton.

As she drove along the road, the wing mirror of one of two motorcycles travelling together in the opposite direction, clipped the wing mirror of her car causing it to smash.

The driver of the car pulled over but neither of the motorcyclists stopped.

Police are now hunting for them.

Today PC Phil Williamson said: “I am keen to hear from anyone who may witnessed what happened to contact police.

“There is a possibility that the rider may not be fully aware of the damage caused and so I would appeal to the rider of the bike to come forward if they think this may have been them.”
