Police are appealing for witnesses after a van collided with a tree in Euxton at the weekend.

The incident happened at around 9.10pm on Sunday December 7 on Runshaw Hall Lane when a Renault Master van, travelling along the road from the direction of Leyland, collided with a tree outside Runshaw Hall Farm.

The 26-year-old driver was taken to hospital with serious leg, head and neck injuries.

Two passengers both aged 33 were taken to hospital with serious head, neck and facial injuries.

The road was closed for four hours following the incident to rescue the occupants of the van and carry out investigations.

Sgt Young of the Road Policing Team said: “We are keen to trace anyone who may have witnessed what happened on Sunday evening and I would urge them to come forward and help us with our enquiries.”
