Police in Leyland have issued a stern warning over parking problems.

Reports have been made about issues around the Lancashire County Council learning Centre in Redwood Avenue.

Officers said that cars are parking fully on pavements and on speed humps and zig zag markings.

Local residents have complained that they are being forced to walk in the road as there is inadequate room for their wheelchairs and pushchairs.

A spokesperson for Lancashire Constabulary said: “Please could all delegates attending the centre for training courses park considerately and be mindful of local residents and pedestrians. If the problems do not improve then traffic enforcement will have to be utilised.”
