Missing man with head injury may have been assaulted say police

Police are concerned for the welfare of an injured Preston man who hasn’t been seen for more than 10 days.

Officers say James Connolly, 36, who was last seen on Cunliffe Street in the city at around 2pm on Friday January 30, may have been the victim of an assault.

He was wearing a bright blue top with a red horizontal bad around it, a grey hooded top underneath a dark jacket and grey tracksuit bottoms. He was seen to have an injury to his head.

Officers say they are concerned for his welfare.

DC Corina Barton of Preston CID said: “We are concerned for Mr Connolly’s wellbeing and we are conducting a number of enquiries to trace him.

“I would urge anyone with any information about where he might be to contact us. I would also urge Mr Connolly, if he sees this appeal himself, to come forward and make contact with us.”
