Police are appealing for information following an assault in the toilets of a Preston club.

The incident occurred at the Wilbraham Club on Geoffrey Street at around between 5pm on Saturday May 7.

The victim had stopped to use the toilets on his way out of the club when he was approached by the offender.

A verbal altercation broke out between the pair, before the offender left.

He then returned to the toilets and punched the victim several times on the face, before kicking him in the groin.

The victim was treated at Royal Preston Hospital for bruising.

PC Peter Darbyshire, of Preston Police, said: “This was a vicious assault and we are working hard to piece together exactly what occurred.

“We would like to speak to anyone who might have seen the incident, or who has information about what took place.

“In particular we would like to trace the man seen in CCTV images as he may be able to help with our ongoing enquiries.”

Anybody with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting log number 1025 of May 7th 2016.
