A motorist has denied a string of driving offences during an appearance before Preston Magistrates Court.
Amankullah Kukaji, 30, of St Cuthbert’s Road, Preston, was allegedly seen in Renault Laguna by two police officers on September 28 last year, tailgating them on Moor Lane in the city.
It is alleged he tried to overtake but was forced to pull back because of oncoming traffic, the magistrates bench heard.
He is accused of driving without due care and attention, driving without insurance, not wearing a seatbelt and driving with a tyre with insufficient tread.
He entered not guilty pleas to each allegation.
The bench adjourned the case and he will next appear on a date to be confirmed.
