Man charged with Preston wounding

A man has been charged in connection with three alleged attacks in Preston.

James Buttrick, 31, of Clevedon Road, Ingol, was charged with section 18 wounding with intent, following an incident at an address in Margate Road in the city.

Police were called to the scene at about 5am on Sunday.

The victim, a 49-year-old man, was described by police as “poorly but stable”.

Buttrick was also charged with two counts of battery.

Emergency services were called to Elswick Road in Ashton at 11am on Sunday, where two alleged assaults took place.

Buttrick is due to appear before magistrates on Wednesday.
