Man, 52, charged with murdering wife

A man '‹was due to appear in court today charged with the murder of his wife in Preston.

Jamal Khan, 52, of Chatsworth Street, Preston is charged with the murder of Humara Khan, 42.

He was due to appear before Preston Magistrates’ Court this morning.

Police were called shortly after 2am on Wednesday, February 15 to an address on Chatsworth Street in the city.

On arrival Humara Khan was found inside the address with a serious head injury.

She was taken by ambulance to Royal Preston Hospital where she later died.
