Man, 39, on Chorley murder charge

A man has been charged with the murder of a woman in Chorley.

Police were called at around 10.25pm on Tuesday May 23 after 30-year-old Gemma Leeming was found dead in a bedroom at an address on Hollinshead Street.

A post mortem examination has shown the cause of death was strangulation.

Lanc ashire police said that following consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service, Craig O’Sullivan, 39, of Chorcliffe Mews, Hollinshead Street, Chorley has been charged with her murder.

He is due to appear before Preston Magistrates’ Court tomorrow morning (Saturday, May 27).
