A stretch of the M6 was closed after a car has flipped over.
The incident happened at around 2.15pm and closed the road between junction 34 near Lancaster to juntion 36 near Kirby Lonsdale of the M6 northbound.
Cumbria Road Police and North West Ambualnce Service attended the smash. The Air Ambulance was also called and part of the motorway closed to allow it to land.
The road was reopened at 4.30pm, but traffic in the area is still very heavy and motorists are advised to find another route if possible.
