More than 50 drivers are to due get a nasty shock in the post after a day of speed checks by police and volunteers in the Ribble Valley.
Officers swooped on two areas of Clitheroe to carry out surprise monitoring of passing motorists.
Out of hundreds checked in the Henthorn Road and Chatburn Road of the town, 51 were found to be breaking the speed limit. The police and community road watch volunteers logged their details and each of the drivers is set to receive a letter warning them about their actions.
