Triple breach of order

DEAN Corocoran, 26, of Main Street, Warton, near Lancaster, breached a restraining order against his former girlfriend three times.

He tried to contact the woman, whom he previously assaulted, via a third party and by using a phone app.

He admitted the offences before District Judge Andrew Jebb at Blackpool Magistrates Court, who heard he had served eight weeks on remand.

He must pay a £180 court charge.

In the dock

Bamber Bridge: Llewellyn Ellis 38, of Acrefield, Clayton Brook, near Preston, must do 80 hours unpaid work after admitting possessing a 16 inch knife in public.

He was ordered to pay a £60 victim surcharge, £180 courts charge and £40 costs by Preston Magistrates Court. The bench ordered the knife to be forfeited.

PRESTON: Lee Ingham, of Newton St, Preston, admits assaulting one of his relatives in an incident in Leyland.

The 38-year-old was ordered to have drug treatment and pay a £35 fine, £60 surcharge and £150 costs by Preston Magistrates’ Court.

He was also given a rehabilitation requirement.

PRESTON: Benjamin Thompson, 20, of Broadgate, Preston, was discharged for 12 months after admitting assaulting a man.

Preston Magistrates Court ordered him to pay a £15 surcharge, and £100 costs.

CHORLEY: Claire Smith, 46, of Kingsley Drive, Chorley, must do 80 hours of unpaid work after admitting three counts of benefit fraud.

She was also ordered to pay a £60 victim surcharge and £85 costs by Preston Magistrates’ Court after failing to notify the authorities of a change of her circumstances, namely that she had a job.

CARNFORTH: Elizabeth Whittaker, 26, of Hillcrest Avenue, Bolton-le-Sands, near Carnforth, was banned for 25 month after admitting a charge of dangerous driving.

She must do 100 hours unpaid work and pay a £60 surcharge, £85 costs and a £180 court charge, Lancaster Magistrates’ Court ruled.

PRESTON: Lewis Saint, 27, of Wharfedale Avenue, was given a restraining order after admitting harassing a woman with phone calls, and must pay a £30 surcharge, £85 costs and a £150 court charge.

Viorel Leoca, 35, of Derby Square, Preston, must pay a £600 fine, £60 surcharge and £85 costs after being found guilty of failing to give driver information.

Shaun Seddon, 49, of Lakeland Gardens, Chorley, must pay a £110 fine after admitting driving without insurance or a licence.

Paul Browning, 44, of Creswell Avenue, Ingol, Preston, was jailed for 14 weeks for breaching a restraining order and assault and must pay an £80 surcharge and £180 court charge.

Zubair Ali, 30, of Blackpool Road, Ashton-on-Ribble, Preston, must pay a £600 fine, £60 surcharge and £85 costs after being found guilty of failing to give driver information.

Angela Craigie, 40, of Marsh Lane, Preston, was discharged for 12 months after admitting stealing perfume, and must pay a £15 surcharge, £50 costs and a £150 court charge.

Suli Baliga, 26, of Malden Street, Leyland, was ordered to pay £39.98 compensation after admitting stealing candles and must pay a £20 surcharge, £85 costs and a £150 court charge.

Anthony Dewhurst, 34, of Malden Street, Leyland, was ordered to pay a £75 fine after admitting stealing meat and must pay a £20 surcharge, £85 costs and a £150 court charge.

Christopher Proctor, 25, of Mile Lane, Longridge, was ordered to pay a £150 fine after admitting driving without due care and attention and must pay a £20 surcharge and £120 costs.

Diane Byrne, 59, of Glebe Close, Fulwood, Preston, is banned for 24 months after admitting drink driving and must pay a £180 fine, £20 surcharge and £300 costs.

Michael Smith, 32, of Brackenbury Road, Plungington, Preston, must do 40 hours unpaid work after admitting harassment and must pay a £60 surcharge, £85 costs and £150 court charge.
