Man damaged house

A MAN who assaulted a woman and caused more than £3,000 damage to a man’s house has been ordered to do 200 hours unpaid work.

Joseph Mengella, 20, of Sidgreaves Lane, Lea Town, Preston, admitted the offences in a hearing before Preston Magistrates’ Court.

The case followed an incident on March 1.

He was also ordered to pay £465 compensation, a £60 victim surcharge and £620 court costs.

PRESTON: A man who assaulted a woman as she held a child has been jailed for 10 weeks.

Daniel Bamber, 32, of Bow Lane, was subject to a court order for an offence against the same victim, magistrates heard.

The bench ordered him to pay an £80 surcharge and a £150 court charge following his guilty plea.

PRESTON: Colin Moss, 35, of New Hall Lane, Preston, was found guilty of driving without due care and attention.

It follows an incident at the junction of Ribbleton Lane and Geoffrey Street in Preston on November 11.

Preston Magistrates’ Court ordered him to pay a £55 fine, £20 surcharge and £500 costs.

LEYLAND: Verity Southworth, 35, of Riverside Avenue, Farington Moss, Leyland, admits breaching a restraining order against a woman.

She must pay a £25 fine, £60 surcharge and £180 court charge, magistrates ruled.

PRESTON: A thief who breached a court order by stealing clothes has been jailed for 19 weeks.

Mohammed Patel, 34, of St Paul’s Road , Deepdale, Preston, appeared before Preston Magistrates’ Court where he pleaded guilty to theft.

He must also pay an £80 surcharge and £150 courts charge.

CHORLEY: A man who entered a house in Chorley has admitted trespass with intent to steal.

Lee McHugh, 42, of Hodder Avenue, Chorley, was given a curfew by Chorley magistrates.

The bench who ordered him to pay a £1,000 court charge, £248 compensation, and £100 costs.

CHORLEY: Richard Bennett, 64, of Lighthurst Lane, Chorley, admits producing cannabis plants and saplings and must pay a £180 fine, £20 surcharge and £85 costs, Chorley magistrates ruled.

Kieran Stacey, 24, of Raglan Street, Ashton-on-Ribble, Preston, was bound over for 12 months in the sum of £200 after admitting breaching the peace.

John Eastham, 31, of Roselea, Preston, was given eight weeks suspended for 12 months, and 100 hours unpaid work after admitting assaulting a woman, and must pay an £80 surcharge, £85 costs and a £150 court charge.

Surej Singh, 35, of Stocks Road, Ashton-on-Ribble, Preston, must pay a £600 fine, £60 surcharge and £85 costs after being found guilty of failing to give a driver’s information.

James McCarthy, 82, of Coastal Road, Hest Bank, Lancaster, must pay a £600 fine, £60 surcharge and £85 costs after being found guilty of failing to give a driver’s information.

Mark Reid, 30, of Fishergate Hill, Preston, was discharged for 12 months after admitting stealing £10 of deodorant but must pay a £15 surcharge and £150 court charge.

Dariusz Kupczak, 47, of Brook Street, Preston, was banned for 14 days after being found guilty of drink driving and must pay a £375 fine, £38 surcharge and £100 costs.

Trevor Stothers, 36, of Hollinshead Street, Chorley, was given a curfew and restraining order after being found guilty of assaulting a woman and must pay a £60 surcharge and £200 costs.

Lee Drelaud, 37, of Thompson Street, Preston, was fined £35 and must pay a £20 surcharge and £85 costs after admitting driving without a seatbelt.

David Rowlinson, 39, of Fishergate Hill, Preston, was given a curfew after admitting stealing food and must pay a £60 surcharge and £150 court charge.
