Here is this week’s round-up of who has been in court and why.

Man had meat cleaver

A man who had a meat cleaver in Moor Park Avenue in Deepdale, Preston, has been jailed for four weeks.

Preston Magistrates’ Court heard Jamie Garry Robinson, 30, of Shelley Road, Ashton, Preston, was found with the bladed article on October 2.

He must also pay an £80 victim surcharge and £180 criminal court charge after admitting a charge of possessing a blade.

The bench forfeited the meat cleaver.

RIBCHESTER: Connor Byrne, 18, of Blackburn Road, Ribchester, is banned from the roads for 20 months after admitting being unfit to drive through drugs.

He also admits possessing the class A drug methylenedixymethylamphetaminean.

Preston magistrates ordered him to pay a £315 fine, £20 surcharge and £85 costs.

PRESTON: David Linder, of Sandown Court, Avenham, Preston was found guilty of assaulting a woman in a domestic incident.

His conviction follows a trial heard before Preston Magistrates’ Court.

The 25-year-old is expected to be sentenced on November 18.

MORECAMBE: Darren Everitt, 49, of Oxcliffe Road, Morecambe, must do 90 hours unpaid work after admitting entering a jewellers as a trespasser.

Magistrates heard he entered Herbert Brown Jewellers in Morecambe.

He must pay compensation of £500, a £60 surcharge, £100 costs and a £180 court charge.

LOSTOCK HALL: A man who used an off road motorbike has admitted riding without insurance, a licence or protective head gear.

Thomas Whiston, 18, of Boegrave Avenue, Lostock Hall, was ordered to pay a £120 fine, £20 victim surcharge, and £85 costs by the bench at Preston Magistrates’ Court.

PRESTON: Alex Wagner, 23, of Further Field, Bamber Bridge, was discharged for four months after admitting damaging a washing machine and must pay £100 compensation, £40 costs and a £150 court charge.

Mohammed Israeel, 35, Fishwick Parade, Preston, was given a curfew after admitting stealing gammon and 26 chocolate bars and must pay compensation of £23.96, £25 costs and a £150 court charge.

James Fiddler, 32, of Kirkham Road, Freckleton, Preston, admits driving while using a phone and must pay a £105 fine, £20 surcharge, and £85 costs.

Darren Aldred, 18, of Cuerden Avenue, Leyland, was found guilty of failing to give driver information and must pay a £660 fine, £66 surcharge, and £85 costs.

Maciej Burchart, 41, of New Hall Lane, Preston, was found guilty of failing to give driver information and must pay a £660 fine, £66 surcharge, and £85 costs.

Zacchary Cuffe, 22, of Chestnut Grove, Lancaster, admits possessing cannabis and must pay a £60 fine, £15 surcharge, and £40 costs.

Levar Moore, 30, of Castleton Road, Preston, was found guilty of driving without insurance or a licence and must pay a £660 fine, £66 surcharge, and £85 costs.

Ventbrook Ltd, of Tomlinson Road, Leyland, admits failing to give driver information and must pay a £510 fine, £51 surcharge, and £85 costs.

Christopher Scott, 23, of Lever House Lane, Leyland, admits driving while using a phone and must pay a £35 fine, £20 surcharge, and £85 costs.

John Taylor, 46, of Woodplumpton Road, Woodplumpton, Preston, admits failing to give driver information and must pay a £560 fine, £56 surcharge, and £85 costs.

Karl Harrison, 46, of Robinson Street, Fulwood, is banned for six months after admitting failing to give driver information and must pay a £200 fine, £20 surcharge, and £85 costs
