Man ‘kicked in’ woman’s door

A man who kicked in a woman’s door to get into her home has been ordered to do 120 hours unpaid work.

Francis Johnathon Robson, 26, Beech House Farm, Catterall Lane, Catterall, near Garstang, admitted a charge of using violence to secure entry into someone’s property.

It follows an incident in Catterall on February 16 in which he had been knocking on the door of his ex partner’s home in the early hours of the morning.

The court heard he was sending texts demanding her to ring him.

As she was on the phone to the police he kicked through the back door, took her phone from her and ended the call.

The bench at Preston Magistrates’ Court imposed a restraining order.

He was also ordered to pay his victim £100 compensation, an £85 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs.

Woman sent racist messages to victim

A woman who has pleaded guilty to sending menacing and racist text messages to a man has been given a suspended jail term.

Rebecca Grace, of North Brook Gardens, Leyland, admitted the offence during a brief hearing before Preston Magistrates’ Court.

The bench heard between June 26 and June 30 last year at Chorley the 29-year-old defendant had sent the victim texts.

She was given a restraining order to run alongside her eight week prison sentence, which was suspended for 12 months by the bench, who said they had imposed increased the sentence for the racial element.

She was also given a rehabilitation activity requirement and 12 months supervision, with a £115 surcharge and £85 costs.

Liam Slack, 25, of Langton Brow, Eccleston, Chorley, admits being drunk and disorderly and must pay a £75 fine, and a £30 surcharge.

Mohammad Saleem Khan, 45, of Farringdon Close, Preston, admits damaging a car window and must pay an £80 fine, £20 surcharge and £85 costs.

Paul Gerard Tootell, 46, of Morris Road, Ribbleton, Preston, admits driving without due care and attention and must pay a £40 fine, £20 surcharge and £85 costs.

Mariusz Olejnik, 34, of Ravenswood, Ribbleton, was bound over for 12 months in the sum of £250 after admitting breaching the peace towards a woman.

Matthew Sinclair, 31, of Grove Street, Leyland, admits assaulting a woman and must pay a £100 fine, £30 compensation, a £30 victim surcharge and £120 costs.

Declan Abram, 20, of Aldwych Drive, Ashton-on-Ribble, Preston, was found guilty of driving without insurance and must pay a £660 fine, £66 surcharge and £85 costs.

Mahesha Thimmaraju, 32, of Wildman Street, Callon, Preston, was found guilty of failing to give driver information and must pay a £660 fine, £66 surcharge and £85 costs.

Matthew Cooper, 36, of Birch Avenue, Galgate, Lancaster, was found guilty of driving without insurance and must pay a £660 fine, £66 surcharge and £85 costs.

Philip Lewis, 41, of Springfield Road, Chorley, was given a rehabilitation activity after admitting stealing £3 food from Asda in Chorley and must pay an £85 victim surcharge.

Callum Taylor, 23, of Laithe Street, Burnley, admits assaulting two officers in Preston and was given 16 weeks in prison suspended for 12 months, and ordered to pay £150 compensation.
