Five-year ban for driver who fled

A drink driver who failed to stop for police officers after a collision has been banned from the road for five years.

Steven David Crook, of Cotswold Road, Chorley, admitted a string of motoring offences before Preston Magistrates’ Court.

He pleaded guilty to failing to stop, drink driving, driving while disqualified and uninsured and driving without due care and attention.

The court heard how the 30-year-old was driving a blue Peugeot 206 on Goulding Street, Chorley, on June 10 this year when an accident happened.
