Abusive driver jailed

AN ABUSIVE motorist who insulted a woman driver and failed to give a breath test after an accident has been jailed for 12 weeks and banned for three years.

Wayne Shaw, 46, of West Strand, Preston, was also abusive to police after his red Audi crashed on Tulketh Road in Preston, magistrates heard.

They found him guilty of failing to stop, failing to report and failing to give a specimen and ordered him to pay an £80 surcharge.

CHORLEY: A burglar has been banned from driving, after being caught without insurance or a licence, just days after his prison release.

John Christy Noonan, 25, of Alvan Square, Manchester, admitted the two offences to Chorley magistrates who gave him a six-month ban and ordered him to pay a £60 surcharge and £85 costs.

PRESTON: Adam Manning, 20, of Cornwall Place, Blackpool is due to be sentenced on May 26 before Preston Crown Court for driving dangerously in Preston and Penwortham in February.

He admitted the offence, along with driving without insurance or a licence and was given unconditional bail.

PRESTON: A man who admits he caused actual bodily harm to another man has been discharged conditionally for six months.

Justin Lewis, 36, of Whittingham Lane, Preston, must pay a £15 victim surcharge.

PRESTON: A benefit fraudster has been ordered to do 100 hours’ unpaid work by magistrates.

Stuart Morris, 44, of Bleasdale Close, Leyland, admitted to fraudulently failing to inform HMRC he was living with a partner, affecting his tax credit claim.

He must also pay a £60 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

PRESTON: Jordan Bamber, 22, of Garsdale Road, Ribbleton, Preston, admits vandalising a man’s car in the city by damaging its grill, windscreen and headlights.

Preston Magistrates’ Court ordered him to pay a £120 fine, £20 surcharge and £85 costs after he pleaded guilty to criminal damage.

PRESTON: Tracy Anderton, 44, of Curwen Street, Deepdale, admits assaulting a woman and has been discharged for six months.

She must pay a £15 surcharge and £85 costs.

Stephen Jones, 40, of Tulketh Road, Ashton, Preston, admits damaging two windows at a Poundstretcher store and must pay £300 compensation.

Kevin Brass, 34, of Fishergate Hill, Preston admits stealing deodorants worth £26 and must pay a £40 fine, £26.32 compensation, a £20 surcharge and £85 costs.

Jon Dwyer, 28, of Fox Street, Preston, admits stealing a bottle of Jack Daniels and cognac and must pay a £40 fine, a £30 surcharge and £85 costs.

Arphad Ensel-Reso, 37, of Langton Close, Leyland, was banned for 20 months after admitting drink driving and must pay a £330 fine, £33 surcharge and £85 costs.

Paula Grace Gardner, 36, of Poulton Street, Kirkham, admits stealing meat from M and S and must pay a £40 fine and a £30 surcharge.

Muhammed Faizan Rahman, 28, of Sharoe Green Lane, Fulwood, was discharged for 12 months after admitting possessing cannabis but must pay a £15 surcharge and £85 costs.

Peter Hardman, 31, of Littledale, Lancaster, was discharged for 12 months after admitting stealing coffee but must pay a £15 surcharge and £20 compensation.

Daniel Barrow, 23, of Regent Road, Chorley, must pay a £85 fine, a £20 surcharge and £85 costs after admitting being drunk and disorderly.

Brian Coxhead, 59, of Park Avenue, New Longton, was banned for 12 months after admitting drink driving and must pay a £120 fine, £30 surcharge and £85 costs.

Christine Petho, 54, of Melrose Avenue, Fulwood, was given a rehabilitation activity after admitting twice stealing three bottles of wine from Booths, and must pay £20.40 compensation and £5 costs.
