Prostitution shame

A man has admitted soliciting a sex worker in a Preston street.

Suhail Abdul Haji Mohamed, 31, travelled to the city from his home in Clinton Street, Blackburn, and tried to obtain sexual services from a woman working on St Mary’s Street, Deepdale, Preston, on October 11, Preston magistrates were told.

The defendant was ordered to pay a £100 fine, a £20 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs by the bench.

PRESTON: A man has admitted letting himself be carried in a car he knew was taken without consent.

Dean McKenna, 18, of no fixed abode, was in the car when it crashed into a lamppost after failing to stop for police, magistrates heard.

He must pay a £50 fine, £60 surcharge, £50 costs and is banned for 12 months.

PRESTON: A man has admitted stealing £60 from Preston North End staff on September 22.

Jason Anderson, 43, of Beenland Street, Preston, admits a charge of theft.

PRESTON: Andrew Billington, 32, of Brantwood Drive, Leyland, admits assaulting a woman.

PRESTON: A woman who admits assaulting a man in a domestic incident is to be sentenced by Preston Magistrates’ Court on January 27. Angela Duffy, of Marl Hill Crescent, Ribbleton, Preston, was charged by police after an incident in September last year.

The 33-year-old was granted bail by the bench until her next appearance.

PRESTON: Simon Valentine-Kee, of Basil Street, Deepdale, Preston, admits driving without due care and attention after an incident on Garstang Road, Preston.

The bench at Preston Magistrates’ Court ordered the 24-year-old to pay a £175 fine, £20 victim surcharge, and £85 prosecution costs.

PRESTON: Luke Sanders, 29, of Browning Close, Bromham, Wiltshire, admits damaging a Preston woman’s phone.

Preston magistrates ruled he must pay £300 compensation to his victim.

Wayne Edmondson, 48, of Woodville Street, Farington, Leyland, admits using threatening or abusive words or behaviour and must pay a £40 fine, £20 surcharge, £85 costs.

William Woodburn, 23, of Epping Place, Chorley,was discharged for 12 months after admitting damaging a windscreen and panel of a car but must pay £450 compensation, a £15 surcharge and £40 costs.

Calam Goulding, 25, of Lake Grove, Morecambe, admits driving without due care and attention and must pay a £40 fine, £20 surcharge, £85 costs.

Ian Burrow, 46, of Wyresdale Drive, Leyland, was found guilty of driving without insurance and must pay a £660 fine, £66 surcharge, and £85 costs.

Stephen Brown, 31, of Hunters Lodge, Walton-le-Dale, admits destroying an electronic tag to the value of £100 and must pay a £135 fine, £100 compensation and £85 costs.

Norma Burton, 70, Marsh Lane, Preston, was banned for 12 months after admitting drink driving and must pay a £120 fine, £20 surcharge and £85 costs.

Wayne Johnson, 26, of Highfield Avenue, Lostock Hall, admits possessing cannabis and must pay a £180 fine, £20 surcharge, and £85 costs.

Carl Whalley, 51, of Kirkby Avenue, Leyland, was discharged conditionally for 12 months after admitting harassment and was given three restraining orders and ordered to pay a £15 surcharge and £85 costs.

Kostakis Konstantinov, 48, of Fishergate Hill, Preston, was found guilty of failing to give driver information and must pay a £660 fine, £66 surcharge, and £85 costs.

Niall Ryan, 23, of Windham Place, Lancaster, admits driving without insurance and must pay a £265 fine, £26 surcharge, and £85 costs.
