Firefighters tackled a blaze at aformer Chorley takeaway last night.
Previously Moonlight takeaway, the derelict two-storey building on the junction of Eldon and Brooke street caught fire at around 8.30pm.
Fire engines and crews from Chorley, Bamber Bridge, Farnworth (Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service) and an aerial ladder platform and crew from Preston were called to deal with the blaze.
Equipped with breathing apparatus the crews used two main jets and the aerial ladder platform to jet water down onto the building to extinguish the fire. There were no casualties.
The cause of the fire has not yet been discovered with crews set to view CCTV footage, search debris and speak to witnesses in the next few days.
