A man who peddled cannabis from his home has been given a suspended jail term by a judge.

Daniel Robinson, 30, of Victoria Road, Fulwood, Preston, was arrested when police swooped on his house on February 5.

Preston Crown Court heard officers found £60 worth of the drug in the property - but text messages about his involvement in supplying the drug were found. Jailing him for eight months, suspended for two years, Recorder Simon Berkson said: ““There’s no doubt in my mind this was a commercial operation.” He ordered him to do 240 hours unpaid work. Prosecuting, David Clark said Robinson’s phone had contained messages referring to “tens and twenties” and that he would “deliver.”

Robinson had told officers the drugs, snaps bags found and scales were for his own use. He then entered an early guilty plea.
