Police are trying to trace two men in connection with a distraction theft

Lancashire police have launched an appeal to find two men they would like to question about the theft of an iPhone at a pub in Preston.

Two men entered the Withy Trees Pub on Lytham Road, Preston at around 4.30pm on Sunday 30 August.

It is believed they approached a man in his forties in the pub and distracted him before taking an iPhone 6 and leaving the pub on foot.

Police say it is possible that they got into a waiting vehicle on Garstang Road.

Police described the two men as Mediterranean in appearance, around 5ft 9 tall, with short dark coloured hair.

One of the men was of a slim build and was wearing bright blue trousers.

The second man was of a stocky build and was wearing a baseball cap, grey hooded top and dark trousers.
