These are the men police are searching for following a string of thefts from unlocked cars in part of Preston.
The CCTV footage shows two men let themselves into an unlocked car which had been left on the driveway of a house on Royal Avenue in Fulwood at around 1.35am on January 2.
On that occasion, there were no valuable items within the car and the offenders only left with around £10 in change. But there has been around 12 similar incidents in the Lea area recently and officers are today urging people to make sure their cars are locked and secured.
Sgt Paul McLernon, of the Lea Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “It is not clear at this stage whether all these incidents are linked so we would appeal to anyone with any information that may assist the investigation to come forward.
“I would also take this opportunity to urge people to take care to lock up their vehicles when leaving them unattended .
“An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure – we want people to be regularly taking simple steps such as locking up and removing valuables from sight so that they don’t become victims of crime.” Anyone with any information can contact police on 101.
