A MAN who had drugs on him when he was caught driving without a licence has been placed under an eight week curfew.

Andrew Beattie, 42, of Lychgate in the city centre, pleaded guilty to driving the Peugeot 206 while banned in Watling Street Road.

When he was stopped he had a small amount of heroin and diazepam on him and he pleaded guilty to possession of drugs. Chorley magistrates did not impose a separate penalty.
