Firefighters were called to a car fire in Poynter Street, Preston.

A Vauxhall Corsa was complete destroyed in the blaze at 5.30am on Saturday, which was attended by two appliances from the city’s fire station.

A fire brigade spokesman said: “The car was unoccupied but well ablaze when we got there.”

The firefighters were at the scene for more than an hour and police were informed.
