The first of a series of seminars for members of the University of Morecambe Bay Hospitals Trust has been held successfully with another one being held today.
The title of the first seminar was “Creaky Hips and Squeaky Knees” and was held by Matt Freudmann, consultant orthopaedic surgeon and included information about the diagnosis and possible surgical treatments as well as some statistics regarding surgical outcomes. Around 60 people attended the two seminars.
Mr Freudmann said: “It really was a pleasure to be asked to conduct the Creaky Hips and Squeeky Knees seminars and I was delighted that so many members of the public came along to hear me speak.”
The next seminar, entitled “Cancer: myths and reality” will be taking place today at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary.
This seminar will focus on what you can do to help prevent cancer, learning about the geographical map of cancer, and hearing how cancer is treated.
Places will be booked on a first come, first served basis. Register online at www.uhmb.nhs.uk or call 01539 716 642.
