Organisers of a popular food and drink festival are promising this year’s event will be bigger and better - and free.
The Lancaster Food and Drink Festival returns to Lancaster Leisure Park for the third year running on May 4 and 5.
Lancaster Leisure Park will be transformed over the two day Bank holiday in to a foodie paradise with more than 60 exhibitors in marquees, gazebos and huts.
Allan Blackburn, owner of Lancaster Leisure Park said: “The last two events attracted over 20,000 visitors to the site and it’s always wonderful for us to see so many people enjoying this extravaganza of an event.
“This year, I am excited to be working together with the team at Lancaster Brewery and Country Style Meats to make it one of the biggest events we’ve ever seen on the park”.
The event is now a firm fixture in any food lovers calendar and this year welcomes even more producers, growers, artisans, bars and respected food retailers, giving visitors more chance to sample a fantastic array of culinary delights, more hot street food and more opportunity to take home specialist produce.
There will be displays of meats including fish, game and beef, baked goods such as bread, biscuits and cakes as well as many spices and oils.
All the other attractions on the park will be open as normal.
For younger visitors there will be a children’s area with a bouncy castle, an owl display and face painter.
There will be free admission, free parking, free samples and tasting. It runs from 10am until 4pm each day.
It is sponsored by Booths and hosted in conjunction with Lancaster Brewery and Country Style Meats Farm Shop,
