The body of a 46-year-old woman from Leyland has been discovered in woodland.
Lancashire police started searching for the woman in woods near Abbey Village, Chorley at 6.45pm on Tuesday after she was reported missing from home.
The body was discovered at 9.30pm on Tuesday by police at the nearby Rake Brook Reservoir in Roddlesworth Wood, Chorley.
The police are not treating the death as suspicious.
A police spokesman aid: “A body was found in woodland near Chorley, we are not treating the death as suspicious.
“We believe the woman committed suicide and the file has been passed over to the coroner.”
