Preston’s MP Mark Hendrick is encouraging groups and organisations to take part in this year’s Climate Week, which runs until Sunday, March 9.
Every year 500,000 people attend over 3,000 campaign events to raise awareness of sustainable living and working.
Mr Hendrick is organising a ‘Climate Week Swap’ in his Preston office, inviting other office workers to swap things such as books and toys.
He said: “This will help to protect the environment; saving precious resources by giving stuff a new life rather than just throwing it away.
“People can run any kind of event or activity – each year there is a huge range such as workshops, competitions, exhibitions, launches, bike rides, film screenings, open days and debates.
