A historic Preston choir is tuning up for another busy season of events.

Preston Cecilian Choral Society’s Italian conductor Marco Fanti will lead an open workshop exploring Faure’s Requiem at Ashton Methodist Church on February 23.

The course runs from 10am to 4pm with tickets priced £10 and including hot and cold drinks.

The choral group will be singing Faure Requiem, together with Poulenc‘s Gloria, at 7.30pm on March 16 at St.Michael’s Church in Ashton.

Tickets for that event will cost £10 or £8 for concessions.

And on June 8 the Cecilians will share their summer concert with the North West Honour Choir 2013, conducted by Bob Chilcott at Fulwood Methodist Church.

Tickets again cost £10.

To buy, call secretary Heather Swift on 01772 456666 or log on to www.cecilians.org.uk
