Take a walk across the bay to raise money for vulnerable children and young people.
Lancashire residents are being urged to put their best foot forward and take part in a unique walk across Morecambe Bay on July 5 for the Action for Children charity, who works directly with more than 300,000 children, young people, parents and carers each year, guided by Cedric Robinson, the Queen’s guide to the sands.
Diane Goodier, fundraiser at Action for Children in Lancashire said: “This unique event gives walkers of all abilities the opportunity to take in the breath-taking surroundings of Morecambe Bay and the Southern Lakes area while raising funds for vulnerable children, young people and families.
“Money raised will go to support Action for Children services in the North West which work at the heart of the local communities, offering advice on a wide range of issues facing families to make their lives easier, healthier and happier.”
The walk will begin at Kents Bank at 10.30am and the route is approximately eight miles to Arnside Shore.
The registration fee is £5 for adults and free for under-18s and all participants are encouraged to raise sponsorship.
Please note that the bay walk is not suitable for young children under six years old.
