Child impaled on railings
A child has been rescued after becoming impaled on railings.
Emergency services were called to Sefton Road in Heysham at about 7.50pm on Sunday, where a nine-year-old girl was impaled on railings.
Fire crews gave first aid at the scene and stabilised the child, before ambulance crews arrived.
The youngster was taken to hospital by air ambulance.
