People in Preston are being urged to donate a couple of hours of their time.

International Aid Trust is looking for volunteers to help out at its charity shop in Woodplumpton Road, Ashton, Preston.

The charity, which was set up in 1991 to help tackle poverty in the developing world, urgently needs volunteers to fill various roles at the shop.

Eileen Hardacre, area manager for the Much Hoole-based charity, said: “We are in desperate need for volunteers to help out at out shop in Ashton.

“There is no set rules. People can donate however much time they can spare.”

For more information or to become a volunteer call Mrs Hardacre on 01772 311129 or call the shop direct on 01772 722121. The charity has raised thousands of pounds to help causes in more than 40 countries.
