Charity effort is a small wonder

Children from two Preston nurseries raised more than £700 at a fun day in aid of disadvantaged children in the Philippines.

Small Wonders, in Hawkins Street, and Small Wonders Too, in Atholl Street, held a fun day to support the Philippine Christian Foundation, which provides shelter and accommodation to children growing up in slums in the Phillipines.

Children and families enjoyed games, stalls and a charity raffle which included two footballs signed by Preston North End legend Sir Tom Finney and prizes from a number of local businesses.
