Lancashire County Council’s chairman has hosted a special reception for ex-servicemen and women.
The event, at County Hall, saw ex-service personnel of all ages from all over the county, meet the chairman and the armed forces and veterans’ champion.
Chairman, County Coun John Shedwick, said: “We should all be proud of the tremendous service given by the men and women of the armed forces over the years.
“They fought hard for our freedom and we should never forget their contribution to life in Lancashire.
“It was great to meet representatives from veterans’ organisations and I wish them every success with their continued good work.”
Also present were representatives from armed forces organisations across Lancashire who support serving and former service personnel.
