Young dancers from across Lancashire will have the opportunity of a lifetime next month.

On Monday, November 19, the English Youth Ballet will hold auditions to find 100 young male and female dancers to take part in their next production of Swan Lake.

Ben Garner, company manager, said: “The opportunity to perform with English Youth Ballet is unique.

“The young dancers are coached by and then perform alongside international principal artists.

“EYB’s large cast ensures that each ballet is performed with the scale and grandeur which was originally intended.”

The audition will take place from 4.30p at the Charter Theatre, Lancaster Road, Preston.

All the dancers, who must be aged between eight and 18, will take part in a one and a half hours ballet class on the stage and parents are invited to watch from the audience.

The audition will provide auditonees with just a taste of what is to come for the successful dancers.

English Youth Ballet Director, Miss Janet Lewis MBE said: “Dancing with EYB is all about performance experience”

It is advisable to pre-register for the audition to avoid queues but it is possible to register on the day.

For more information and to register for the audition please contact Miss Lewis on 01689 856747, email misslewis@englishyouthballet.co.uk or visit www.englishyouthballet.co.uk.
