Cash pot for local charities

Latest news from the Lancashire Evening Post

Latest news from the Lancashire Evening Post

Charities, causes and community groups in Lancashire are being urged to nominate themselves to win a share of £100,000.

Now in its second year, the ‘Cash for Causes’ campaign, by Kumho Tyres, will see hundreds of charities win a share of the six figure sum to help support their fundraising initiatives.

Organisations across the county are invited to register to be part of the campaign by visiting at www.kumhocauses.com/2013/causes before March 31.

Kumho’s nationwide ECSTA Performance Centre (EPC) retail partners will then shortlist two causes from their local area to be put forward to a nationwide public vote which will run online and in-store at Kumho Tyres’ participating EPC retailers nationwide.

The cause with the most votes at the end of the campaign will receive £5,000, with all shortlisted charities benefiting from a share of the cash donation.

Last year’s ‘Cash for Causes’ campaign saw Longridge Band along with 400 local initiatives from across the UK, receive a share of the £100,000 donation fund.
