Age Concern in Central Lancashire is calling for volunteer drivers to come forward following the retirement of volunteer Cheryl Lynes.
Cheryl volunteered one day a week to help with the transfer of stock between the shops in Preston and South Ribble.
She said: “I love the diversity of the role, planning my routes and collections so they all tie in together.
“I enjoy meeting people and love helping people who need a little assistance.”
The charity is now looking for drivers, ideally with larger cars, who can help in the collection and delivery of vital aids.
Retail manager Bel Fry said: “Please spare a couple of hours from your busy week to help transport stock or do house collections. You would be providing an extremely valuable service to many local older people.”
