CHORLEY firm Andrew Porter Limited has been voted best Supply Chain/Logistics Company in the furniture industry for the third time.
The Interiors Monthly awards are organised by one of the UK’s leading furniture trade magazines and each category is based solely on votes from retailers and manufacturers.
Andrew Porter Limited has won the award previously in 2013 and 2010.
Managing director Tim Aspey said it was particularly pleasing to win this year, as it coincides with the firm’s 20th anniversary of furniture logistics.
“These particular awards mean so much as they are based on votes from within the industry.
“We work hard to make sure customer service is our top priority and it is really pleasing to have that recognised.
“I’d like to thank everyone who voted for us, as well as the fantastic furniture logistics team we have here, ” he added.
Andrew Porter Limited, based in Adlington, first began its furniture logistics services in 1995 and now provides warehousing, retail delivery and white glove home delivery, as well as additional services, for retailers, manufacturers and importers throughout the UK.
It has a fleet of more than 60 furniture logistics vehicles, carrying out around 3,000 deliveries every month.
Tim continued: “Our home deliveries are now at an all time high, after winning additional business from existing clients and contracts from new customers over the summer.”
Interiors Monthly editor Andrew Kidd commented: “ Our awards are always hotly-anticipated and we received hundreds of voting forms in this year’s competition.”
