Two directors of Preston-based firms have scooped prestigious North West Director of the Year Awards.

Richard Freye of Service Care Solutions was crowned Young Director of the Year at the Institute of Directors-run awards ceremony at Manchester’s Midland Hotel.

Lee Petts, Managing Director of Remsol Limited, was named as Corporate Social Responsibility Director of Year.

Former recruitment consultant Richard set up Service Care Solutions, based at Marshall House, Ring Way, in 2005 and specialises in offering a wide range of social work jobs across the UK. It now employs 54 staff.

Lee formed Remsol Limited, the waste and environmental services business based at Riversway in 2002, which provides other businesses with an alternative to managing waste. It is a highly successful company.

Richard, who lives in Preston, said he hoped the award would be an inspiration to other young people, as well as his four-year-old son.

I am absolutely delighted to have won this award, and to be recognised for the efforts I’ve made to promote responsible, socially integrated business.
