A major coffee shop chain has confirmed it will be opening at Preston Railway station at the end of May.
The announcement ends months' of speculation after adverts recruiting for the company were spotted in January.
It is understood that the new Starbucks will take the place of the old Cafe Ritazza that was on platform 4.
A spokesman for Starbucks said: “We’re excited to announce that we will be opening at Preston Station in partnership with SSP at the end of May. We’ll be bringing our great quality, ethically sourced coffee to commuters and creating six new job opportunities for the local area.”
Starbucks also has a cafe opposite the railway station in Fishergate Shopping Centre, as well as at Deepdale Shopping Park and the Capitol Centre in Walton-le-Dale.
