Ford Dealership, Evans Halshaw, is seeing the benefits of record UK car sales being mirrored on their forecourts in Preston, Blackpool and Chorley.
The Society of Motor Manufactures and Traders (SMMT) announced recently that new registrations were at their highest since 2007, rising by an impressive 10.8 per cent in the last 12 months.
Evans Halshaw reveals the changes they’ve been seeing on the forecourt and how customers in Lancashire are adapting their approach to buying a new car.
Adam Fletcher, regional director for Evans Halshaw Ford for Evans Halshaw Ford Preston, Blackpool and Chorley, said: “Ford was Britain’s top-selling manufacturer in 2013, with the revamped Ford Fiesta claiming the title of Britain’s top-selling car and the Focus taking second place, but we know that selling vehicles is about more than just having great cars in the showroom.
“We’ve gone back to basics, by aiming to offer the very best customer service as standard, coupled with a wide range of finance deals that make it as easy as possible to get everyone on the road.”
“Customers expect more from their car dealers than ever before, so we’ve applied some fresh thinking to how we approach our business. We consider ourselves part of the local community and make sure we interact with customers away from the forecourt as well, online and on sites like Twitter and Facebook.
“We also take pride in supporting the community, all of which has encouraged a wider audience to come down and see us.”
He added: “We are very excited for 2014 and ahead of the new registration in March see no reason why we won’t grow further this year.”
